I truly, deeply, wish everybody would stop with these Civil War citations, first of all because it is inflammatory (what, we really want to have another one because the first was SO much fun?) and secondly because it is usually historically inane.
Which side of this "great divide" Bork sees represents the Confederacy and which the Army of the Potomac? Militarily the analogy falls apart as well because the battle was a draw: Lee failed to destroy Meade's forces and assault Washington, but Meade in turn failed to destroy Lee and end the war. Mr. (thank GOD we do not have to say "Justice") Bork is an idiot trying to sound..dare one say it? Intellectual.
